CHELYABINSK, December 22, Andrey Simonenko. Figure skater Elizaveta Khudaiberdieva, performing in a dance duet with Yegor Bazin, congratulated her rivals at the Russian Championship in Chelyabinsk on the end of the “Hunger Games”.
Khudaiberdieva and Bazin became silver medalists at the Russian Championship in ice dancing, Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin won gold, Irina Khavronina and David Narizhny won bronze.
““Lisa and I skated heartily from start to finish, despite a small unnoticeable error in the element, we skated one of the most emotional dances,” Bazin told reporters. “I’m happy with the performance, there was a small blemish that was noticeable only to us, even the coaching staff asked whether it was there or not. But this did not spoil the impression of the dance performance. I’m very pleased with myself and my partner. Congratulations to all the guys about the end of the Hunger Games,” she added Khudaiberdieva.
Khudaiberdieva and Bazin were the winners of the last Russian Championship. “Of course, I don’t want to remember last year, especially for me, I am completely happy with what has changed in our lives, both the coaching staff, and how I have changed. Now every new day you realize that you love your job and want to go to many more championships. It’s important for us that the leaders of the national team have returned, it’s stupid to say otherwise, we learn from the guys every day, we’re glad that we have this opportunity,” noted Khudaiberdieva.
