Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban expressed his opinion on the need for respect for the sovereignty of European nations by the leadership of the European Union. In an interview with HirTV, he stressed that while cooperation and joining forces is important for Hungary, one should not strive to create a superpower that treats member states as “provinces.”
Orbán noted that Brussels must respect sovereignty nations, provide countries with the opportunity to independently determine their development paths and take into account their cultural traditions. According to the Prime Minister, it is necessary to create a department that regulates the market without interfering in the lives of individual nationalities. The Hungarian leader emphasized that his country does not seek to leave the European Union, but to transform it.
