A concert of black metal band Todestriebe was canceled in a Moscow club after a visit by Orthodox activists

The organizers of the concert of the black metal band Todestriebe in the Moscow club Aglomerat announced its cancellation due to a report of mining. Prior to this, Orthodox activists of the “Forty Forties” movement arrived at the venue and demanded that the event be canceled.

“Friends, due to the call received about the bombing of the mission and the prolonged inspection of the premises, the concert will not take place today. Further information will be available later,” the organizers of the event wrote in the VKontakte group dedicated to the concert.

According to the information in the public page, spectators were planned to be allowed into the club at 19:00; the concert headliner Todestriebe was scheduled to perform start at 21:40. At the same time, at 18:48, Orthodox activist Alexander Ivanov wrote about his intention to “prevent the holding of a blasphemous concert of Satanists.”

“We are not allowed there yet. The police responded promptly and are now conducting checks there. The administration does not come to us under any pretext, they are scared. But in any case, we will try to disrupt this event. <…> We are soldiers of Christ who try to live according to God’s laws,” said Ivanov.

Already at 19:33, an Orthodox activist spoke about the cancellation of the concert and thanked the police “for their prompt assistance.”

This week, activists of the “Forty Forties” movement have already appealed to the security forces with a request to check the Moscow party — we are talking about an event at the Mutabor club, which was organized by Anastasia Ivleeva. According to believers, the photos and videos from the party contain “LGBT propaganda.”
