«Due to their specifics, the four new regions are mainly gathering on-site. There are a lot of people who want to leave signatures in the new regions, but it is unsafe to gather people in groups, so we are trying to work there on-site,» Podolny told reporters.
Volunteers of the movement work in all regions of Russia, signatures in other regions are collected at the headquarters of the Popular Front.
«In general, according to the legislation, 300 thousand signatures are submitted to the CEC for the presidential campaign. I think that these numbers will be collected quite quickly, but historically it always turns out that the number of collected signatures is much higher, because people go very actively and no one can refuse them,” Podolny said.
According to him, signatures are transferred to the CEC, which do not cause any complaints from the headquarters lawyers, who carefully study the signatures before submitting to the CEC.
