Izvestia: the personnel shortage in Russia is 4.8 million people
The labor shortage has increased sharply in 2023, Izvestia writes, citing a study by a researcher at the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Nikolai Akhapkin.
If we extend the data presented by Rosstat to the entire workforce, then, as indicated in the article, the shortage of workers in the outgoing year will amount to 4.8 million people.
They say there is a staff shortage 91% of Russian companies. Thus, there are not enough salespeople, drivers, as well as employees in construction and transport services.
Due to the current situation, it is not possible to produce enough goods, which is reflected in the slowdown in GDP growth.
Shortage personnel will depend on the rate of economic growth and the depreciation of the ruble against the dollar. In this case, experts believe, migrant workers will not consider Russia as an employer.
