In Peterhof, a mother who had left for a few minutes found her five-month-old daughter unconscious
A five-month-old girl died in one of the apartments in the city of Peterhof. According to the Fontanka publication, the 32-year-old mother went to the bathroom for a short time and returned to find her daughter unconscious.
It is reported that the woman walked away and heard the baby crying. When she returned, she took the child to the crayfish — the daughter went limp and lost consciousness. The St. Petersburg woman’s sister began performing artificial respiration on the baby. Medics were also called to the scene, but they were unable to resuscitate the girl.
It later turned out that the girl was born at home. Two days later she was taken to the hospital, where doctors diagnosed heart problems. The baby was prescribed medications, which she took along with the mixture. Despite this, the girl was not gaining weight well, and doctors wrote out a referral for hospitalization. However, upon arriving at the medical facility, the mother and child were sent home, saying that the disease could be cured at home. The next reception was supposed to take place after the holidays.
Investigators and the prosecutor's office are conducting appropriate checks.
