The restyled model will be presented early next year. The Golf will get a facelift and a different multimedia system will appear in the cabin. Technical updates are also promised.
A week ago, the Volkswagen brand published a video in which it briefly summed up the results of the outgoing year. At the same time, at the very end of the video, a new product was highlighted: the name of the car was not revealed at that time, but the car was easily recognizable as a VW Golf (more precisely, a Variant station wagon), that is, the public was being prepared for the appearance of a restyled model. Well, now the modernized Golf has received a separate official announcement. However, this time the Germans decided to do without a teaser.

It was announced that the Volkswagen Golf will get new electronic assistants and a multimedia system with new generation software (the screens will probably become larger). It is also reported that the reforms will also affect technology, but the brand has not yet provided details. Most likely, full-fledged hybrids will receive a 1.5 petrol turbo engine instead of 1.4, and they may also receive a new battery. And ordinary gasoline and diesel cars will probably get a mild-hybrid makeweight.
As for appearance, judging by the previously illuminated car, the Golf will have its head optics replaced, and in addition, the brand emblem will glow. In addition, the bumpers and radiator grille should be retouched.

The presentation of the restyled VW Golf will be held in a few weeks; in Europe, accepting orders will open in the spring of 2024.
By the way, in Next year the model celebrates its 50th anniversary. The current eighth generation Golf has been in service since 2019. And if in previous generations the model topped the European bestseller list for a long time, the “eighth” VW Golf has lost this status. At the end of last year, according to the JATO Dynamics report, the best-selling car in the Old World was the compact Peugeot 208 (206,816 units), while the “German” took only fifth place (177,203 units). And based on the results of ten months of 2023, Golf is in seventh position (150,020 units; Tesla Model Y is in the lead, its result is 209,503 units).
Meanwhile, the current generation will be the last “hydrocarbon” in the history of the model: the next VW Golf will be an electric car.
