VLADIVOSTOK, December 27The carrier, which drove all the buses from Lesozavodsk in the Primorsky Territory, leaving the city without public transport, may face criminal prosecution, the regional prosecutor's office reports.
Previously, the prosecutor's office reported that in Lesozavodsk, where about 35 thousand people live, a check was organized on information about delays in wages for employees of Dalyapt LLC, which is why on Tuesday morning five buses did not go on routes at the scheduled time. It was reported that the head of the organization was summoned to the interdistrict prosecutor's office.
On Wednesday, the authorities of Lesozavodsk informed that residents were left without public transport; the only carrier, the Dalatp company, had driven all the buses out of the city and was not in touch.
According to the supervisory agency, an inspection by the prosecutor's office found that in 2021, based on the results of a competition, the carrier Dalatp LLC was issued a certificate for transportation at unregulated tariffs for five years. On Wednesday, the carrier, without notifying the city administration, did not begin transporting passengers, violating federal law, as well as “the assumed obligations and rights of residents of the urban district.”
«The prosecutor sent the inspection materials to the preliminary investigation body to resolve the issue of criminal prosecution under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services, not meeting safety requirements),” the message says.
It is noted that inter-district prosecutor Pavel Grichanovsky, at a meeting with the head of the city district, Konstantin Bantseev, stated that inaction was unacceptable and that the situation had to be resolved. The actual elimination of violations and consideration of the issue of criminal prosecution are under the control of the supervisory department.
