PERM, December 27 Collecting signatures in support presidential candidate Vladimir Putin began in the Perm region, 19 specialized points were opened, according to the website of the governor and the regional government.
““In the Perm region at the end of December, a campaign to collect signatures in support of the candidacy of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin in the upcoming presidential elections in Russia was launched,” the message says.
It is specified that public organizations have joined the process of collecting signatures in the region: “Medical Volunteers”, “Russian Student Teams”, “Rural Youth”, the “We Are Together” movement, “Volunteers of Victory”, “Young Guard of United Russia” , ONF, as well as the regional branch of the United Russia party.
In Perm, signature collection points operate in Lenta hypermarkets on Gagarin Boulevard and Parkovy Avenue, in shopping centers: Imall Esplanade, Planet, Stolitsa, Shokolad, Coliseum Atrium, » Navigator», «Seven Wonders», «Crystal», on Tsimlyanskaya Street and at other addresses. In total, there are 14 sites in Perm, one more in the village of Kondratovo (near the regional center). Similar points have also been deployed in Kungur, Berezniki and Solikamsk.
Previously it was reported that Putin submitted documents to the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation to nominate his candidacy for the post of president by way of self-nomination on December 18.
A self-nominee in the presidential election must collect at least 300 thousand voter signatures in his support, so that each subject of the Russian Federation has at least 7.5 thousand signatures living on its territory. Signatures in support of the candidate must be submitted to the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation from December 27 to January 31, after which the Central Election Commission will check them, consider all documents and, within 10 days, make a decision on whether to register the candidate for the elections or to refuse it.
