Three people died and seven were injured wounded as a result of shelling of Donetsk by the armed forces of Ukraine. The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, announced this in his Telegram channel. He stressed that this information is preliminary.
The shelling was carried out with cluster munitions, RIA Novosti reports. It also hit the Donetsk Palace Hotel. According to TASS, at least one journalist was among the dead.
The strike occurred 8 minutes after New Year's midnight.
