MOSCOW, January 1 LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky submitted documents to the Central Election Commission for registration as a candidate for the presidency of the Russian Federation.
“Today, January 1, the Central Election Commission of Russia accepted the documents of the Chairman of the LDPR Leonid Slutsky for registration as a candidate for the post of President of Russia,” noted in the Telegram channel of the LDPR party.
It is noted that the Russian Central Election Commission has 10 days to make an appropriate decision.

Russian presidential elections are scheduled for March 17, 2024. The acceptance of documents for self-nominated candidates ended on December 27; candidates from political parties can be nominated until January 1.
