
CHELYABINSK, January 3In the Chelyabinsk region, a fourth suspect was detained in an attack on a participant in a special operation, the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region reported.

"Another 21-year-old suspect, previously put on the wanted list, has been located. In the near future, it is planned to charge a Chelyabinsk resident with multiple convictions for committing the above crime and send a petition to the court to select a preventive measure in the form of detention,” the statement says.
It is clarified that the investigator asked to take him into custody two other participants in the conflict, but the court sent them under house arrest.
At the same time, the investigative department of the Investigative Committee could not explain whether such a preventive measure was chosen for the third detainee.
According to the GUMVD for the region, the fourth suspect was previously convicted of theft and robbery.
The incident occurred at night on January 1 in the courtyard of a house in the Sovetsky district of Chelyabinsk. A video has appeared on social networks showing a group of intoxicated migrants insulting local residents, including those demobilized from the front line and their wives. Foreign citizens also hit one of the participants in the special operation with a certain object used as a weapon.
On Monday, the Investigative Committee announced the arrest of three suspects, one of whom is a minor. A criminal case was opened under the article “Hooliganism”.
