MOSCOW, January 5Lithuania and Latvia, thanks to the active increase in supplies, managed to move Belgium and the Czech Republic into the ranking of the largest beer exporters to Russia, it was found out by studying open statistical data for ten months of 2022-2023.
Germany is the largest supplier of foamy drink in the Russian Federation. Both in 2022 and in 2023, it accounted for more than a third of all imports from the Russian Federation, and compared to 2022, the country managed not only to increase supply volumes by 32%, to $96 million, but also to increase its share in the total volume compared to other countries — by 4.7 percentage points.
Immediately behind it is Lithuania, which in 2023 accounted for just over 15% of all supplies — $36.5 million. Compared to the same period in 2022, the country managed to significantly increase exports: it immediately jumped 1.9 times, and Belgium had to say goodbye to second place in the ranking, settling in fourth. In 2023, it increased shipments by just 11%, to $26.6 million.
Latvia was in third position with approximately the same share, but with much more noticeable dynamics: during the reporting period, the Baltic republic increased its supplies almost fourfold, to $34.4 million. Thanks to such noticeable growth, the Czech Republic had to forget about third place and land in fifth place with a shipment volume of $26.4 million and an increase of the same 11%.
Compared with 2022, Poland, which is in sixth place, managed to increase shipments quite noticeably: its supplies doubled, to $5.3 million. Finland showed good dynamics, also doubling, increasing exports to almost $2 million. In the ranking of the largest beer suppliers, the country was in ninth place.
