NIZHNY NOVGOROD, December 6 A resident of Kirov, detained for petty hooliganism, beat a police officer and tried to run away, but was detained by patrol officers, the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
On December twenty-seventh, a 39-year-old man was brought to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs office in the city of Kirov for committing an administrative offense — “petty hooliganism.”
«While in one of the premises of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he struck several blows in the face of a police officer and tried to escape. Along with a patrol guard police service, the violator was detained. A criminal case was opened against the detainee under Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Use of violence against a representative of the authorities),» the department's press service reported.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs is conducting an official investigation into the incident.
