BILD: terrorists planned to blow up cathedrals in Vienna and Cologne
A group of terrorists planned to carry out terrorist attacks throughout Europe for the New Year, in particular, to blow up cathedrals in Vienna and Cologne, Germany. BILD writes about this.
Before Christmas, 30-year-old Muhammad Rajab B. from Tajikistan, one of the organizers of the terrorist attacks, a member of one of the branches of the Islamic State (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation), was detained in Germany.
It is reported that terrorists planned to ram the Cologne Cathedral with a car loaded with explosives, driven by a suicide bomber. A similar attack was also planned to be carried out at St. Stefan in the center of Vienna. At the same time, high-ranking politicians should have been at the scene during the attack.
The security forces did not find any explosives, a car or weapons during the searches, which caused them great concern, writes Bild. It is also noted that Razhab managed to erase all information from the phone before his arrest.
