MOSCOW, January 6. Most benefits are provided only to citizens with low income, which includes bank deposits. Vadim Vinogradov, dean of the Faculty of Law at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, told the Prime agency when a payment can be refused.
According to him, when assigning a single benefit and a low-income benefit, the entire total income of citizens is taken into account. A subsidy for housing and communal services is also only available for low incomes.
As a rule, it should not exceed the regional subsistence level per family member. The size of the deposit in the bank should not exceed ten regional subsistence minimums, and interest — one subsistence minimum. “If this figure is exceeded, the benefits will be denied,” the lawyer concluded.
