In Bryansk, the Ninety-First club suspended work in order to “settle all issues regarding inspections,” the club group reported. This happened after blogger Evgenia Hoffman burned a Russian passport near the club.
“The concert venue is temporarily on vacation for reasons beyond our control. Once we resolve all issues regarding inspections, we will open the doors to our hearts again. Happy New Year and Merry Christmas, dear ones. We'll miss you. And don't burn your passports, please, at least before we enter. All the best,” the message said.
The Bryanskaya Street publication adds that on January 6 the club was already sealed.
“I still don’t understand and won’t understand how we became guilty of someone then someone’s personal passport was burned, albeit near our doors. This could happen anywhere and with any of us,” the club administration emphasized.
22-year-old Moscow blogger Evgenia Hoffman burned her passport near a club on New Year's Eve. Pro-war Telegram channels began writing about her, linking her action with “support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.” The blogger herself said that she burned her passport because it was no longer valid and there was an “ugly photo” in it.
The Investigative Committee accused the flea girl of desecration of the Russian coat of arms (Article 329 of the Criminal Code) and intentional infliction of harm to health of moderate severity, committed out of hooligan motives (clause “d” of Part 2 of Article 112 of the Criminal Code). The Sovetsky District Court of Bryansk sent her under house arrest.
