The Leninogorsk City Court of Tatarstan sentenced a traffic police officer to 8 years and two months in prison in a case of rape of a minor. This was reported by the Trauma Point project, whose lawyers provided legal support to the victim.
In addition, the 31-year-old policeman must pay 500 thousand rubles in compensation.
The security officer was found guilty of rape (clause “a” of Part 3 of Article 131 of the Criminal Code) and sexualized violence against a minor (clause “a” of Part 3 of Article 132 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, he met the victim in February 2020 on a social network, and upon meeting, raped her in his car.
The policeman was detained in mid-summer 2020; before that, he had been dismissed from service and was wanted.
