< br />MOSCOW, January 11 AvtoVAZ plans to sell about 450 thousand Lada cars in Russia in 2024, and still aims to produce 500 thousand cars, company president Maxim Sokolov told reporters.
“If we talk about sales within the country: about 450 plus or minus,” he said, answering a question about Lada sales in 2024.
“»We aim to produce 500 thousand, we plan to sell everything. With the exception of the stock, which we build up at the end of the year (for the next period)… And do not forget about the export of 25 thousand cars,» Sokolov added.
In 2023, according to AvtoVAZ, 352.7 thousand Lada cars were sold in Russia. Thus, the expected sales growth this year is approximately 28%.
AvtoVAZ owns production sites in Togliatti, Izhevsk and St. Petersburg. In mid-May last year, the French Renault transferred its share in AvtoVAZ (67.69%) to the state ownership of the Russian Federation. Now the brand consists of four families of models: Vesta, Largus, Granta and Niva.
