OMSK, January 10 A bus carrying 13 shift workers collided with a truck on the highway in the Omsk region, two people died, and five were hospitalized, the press service of the regional SUSC reported.
The accident occurred in the evening on the highway near the village of Aleksandrovka, Maryanovsky district, Omsk region. In the area of the 12th kilometer of the western bypass of the Tyumen-Novosibirsk highway, a minibus transporting 13 shift workers from Tyumen to Novosibirsk collided with a Scania truck.
«As a result of the collision, one of the two drivers of the minibus and one passenger died, five people, including three men in serious condition, were hospitalized, the rest of the victims received medical care on the spot,» the press service reported.
The region is experiencing worsening weather conditions — snowstorms and strong gusts of wind. Investigators are conducting a pre-investigation check and finding out the circumstances of the incident. The issue of initiating a criminal case is being decided.
