A driver from the Sverdlovsk region, Roman K., was admitted to intensive care in Yekaterinburg in serious condition with a diagnosis of hemorrhagic stroke. The truck driver felt sick right behind the wheel, however, according to his colleagues, the traffic police decided that the man was drunk, so they left him to “sober up.” in a cold cabin. E1.RU writes about this.
The publication notes that Roman got to the doctors very late – only after more than six hours, although there were all opportunities for timely hospitalization.
The driver was delivering cargo on January 5, but on the way back he became ill while driving, which is why he got into a small accident. The traffic police crew and road service quickly arrived at the scene.
However, Roman could not say anything and did not respond to the questions of the employees. The police left him in the cab of the truck, deciding that he was drunk.
Another driver of the company, Oleg, passing by, stopped to find out what was the matter. And he found Roman in the cabin on the floor of a freezing car. The man was pale and showed no signs of life.
Oleg began to warm up the cab and had an argument with the traffic cops, who said that the driver was drunk or under the influence of drugs.
Eyewitnesses of the incident told the publication that an ambulance ;the police were not called, but they dragged Roman from the cab into their car.
The doctors were called by the driver’s colleagues, who arrived at the scene to evacuate the truck. They saw signs of a stroke. But more than six hours have already passed.
Doctors confirmed the diagnosis, now Roman’s condition is assessed as moderate, no prognosis has been given yet.
