There is no competition at international ski starts without Russia, Vyalbe said

KAZAN, January 11, Adela Ziatdinova President of the Ski Racing Federation Russia (FLGR) Elena Vyalbe told reporters that there is no competition at international cross-country skiing competitions without Russian athletes.
Earlier, Swedish national team skier Kalle Halvarsson said that the Tour de Ski stage race had become a boring tournament without the Russians and many of the best athletes.
“”And how do they (international tournaments – editor's note) differ from our competitions? Everyone who watched them said that there is no competition there at all. And look at our competitions, where this competition exists. Let's talk about us “I don't want to be a parrot. We will return there only when we are Russians. Anything else is unacceptable,” Vyalbe said.
The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) suspended Russians and Belarusians from the final starts of last season due to the situation in Ukraine. In October, the FIS Council extended the suspension for the 2022/23 season. Russian skiers compete at the stages of the national cup.
