Teacher Nikita Tushkanov, convicted for his comments about the explosion on the Crimean Bridge, was sent to a punishment cell for the second time in a row.

History teacher from Komi Nikita Tushkanov, convicted for comments about the explosion on the Crimean Bridge, was sent to punishment cell IK-20 in the Vologda region for the second time in a row. His relatives reported this in the telegram channel “Notes of Prisoner Nikita Tushkanov.”

According to the information of the prisoner’s associates, he was assigned to seven days in a punishment cell. The reason for the penalty is unknown.

Today, January 12, Tushkanov’s previous sentence expired: on December 31, he was sentenced to 12 days in isolation.

“Violations are found in everything (hands were in pockets when standing in line, etc.). All this is done in order to identify Nikita in SUS!” — the teacher’s relatives wrote then.

Even earlier, on December 12, Tushkanov was sent to a punishment cell for seven days for “being in a sleeping place” before the curfew was announced.

Last May, 29-year-old Tushkanov was sentenced to five and a half years in prison. The reason for this was a comment in which a history teacher from the northern city of Mikun called the explosion on the Crimean Bridge “a birthday present for Putler,” as well as several of his anti-war posts.

Tushkanov was found guilty of justifying terrorism and “discrediting” the army (Articles 205.2 and 280.3 of the Criminal Code). Later, the court reduced his sentence in prison by six months — to five years.
