MOSCOW, January 15 The share of cases returned for revision by the prosecutor and the court that were investigated by investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia does not exceed 3%, the chairman of the Investigative Committee said in an interview RF Alexander Bastrykin.
““Despite the increased volume of work, as a result of the measures we are taking, we are able to ensure a high-quality and prompt investigation: for example, the share of cases returned for revision by the prosecutor and the court does not exceed 3%,” he said.
In addition, according to him, the number of criminal cases investigated within two months increased by 4%. “There are more than 70 thousand of them, that is, the bulk of our cases,” noted the head of the RF IC.
Bastrykin also recalled that this year, based on evidence from the Investigative Committee, former Minister for Coordination of the Open Government Activities Mikhail Abyzov, ex-Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Sergei Furgal, former Deputy Director of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia Valery Maksimenko, as well as the former head of the Department of the Ministry of Culture Boris Mazo and the leader of the organized criminal community Aslan Gagiev.
