SAMARA, January 16 Three were killed and four were injured in a collision between a Lada Largus and a Gazelle on the M-5 Ural federal highway in the Samara region, journalists were told in the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to preliminary data, at 10.25 Moscow time, on the 947th kilometer of the M-5 Ural highway in the Stavropol district of the Samara region, a Lada Largus station wagon and a Gazelle van were involved in an accident.
““Three people died at the scene of the accident. Four people were hospitalized in medical institutions,” the department said in a statement.
Police officers are working on the spot to establish all the circumstances of the accident.
The regional prosecutor's office reported on its Telegram channel that, previously, the driver of the station wagon lost control and drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with the Gazelle.
At the scene of the accident, the work of law enforcement agencies and rescue services is coordinated by the Stavropol district prosecutor Dmitry Hartakhay. The district prosecutor's office checks compliance with road safety legislation, including regarding the condition of the roadway on this section of the highway.
