YEKATERINBURG, January 17Two Giro eateries in Krasnoturinsk, Sverdlovsk region, after visiting which 12 people became infected with hepatitis A, were closed for 90 days by court decision, the press service of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor reported.
«The court suspended the operation of two Giro eateries for 90 days. To date, 12 cases of hepatitis A have been identified among clients of the eateries in Krasnoturinsk,» the message follows.
It is noted that an epidemiological investigation is carried out for each case, vaccination of contact persons in outbreaks is organized, and 119 people have been vaccinated so far.
«Rospotrebnadzor employees, medical workers and medical college volunteers conducted a tour of housing and institutions close to Giro to identify possible cases of the disease without seeking medical help. One of the infected was identified precisely during the walk.» ,” the department emphasized.
Previously, Rospotrebnadzor reported that on January 11-12, seven cases of hepatitis A were registered among adults; all the sick people bought products at different times in the Giro eateries on Leninsky Komsomol and Ryumin streets in Krasnoturinsk. Later, experts discovered serious violations at food facilities: there is no water supply, products do not have shipping documents, employees do not undergo medical examinations and prepare meals in non-special clothing. Laboratory tests of food raw materials, finished products and swabs for sanitary, bacteriological and virological indicators revealed non-compliance with standards, the department added.
Upon the fact of mass disease of people, the regional department of the RF IC organized an inspection under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (production and sale of goods and products that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers).
