MOSCOW, January 16 The volume of illegal cash withdrawals in Russia at the end of 2023, according to preliminary estimates, has decreased by 23 times since 2013 and amounted to 84 billion rubles, follows from presentation presented by the First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation Vladimir Chistyukhin at the Russia Forum.
According to the materials, in 2013, illegal cash withdrawals in the Russian Federation reached 1.9 trillion rubles, and in 2023 fell to 84 billion rubles (23 times). It is clarified that this is a preliminary assessment of the regulator.
It is also reported that the volume of suspicious transactions for the withdrawal of funds abroad last year amounted to 32 billion rubles, while in 2013 — 1.7 trillion rubles.
According to the Central Bank, in 2022 the volume of cash withdrawals in the banking sector of the Russian Federation amounted to 64 billion rubles.
