MOSCOW, January 18 Moscow is calling not to draw far-reaching conclusions from the statistics, according to which the United States resumed the purchase of Russian oil after a year and a half break. Moscow is concentrating on strengthening ties with reliable consumers of Russian energy resources and protecting them from US and EU sanctions, said Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov.
“»I saw a short message that the statistics reflected the supply — it is insignificant. And I would not make there are no conclusions,” Ryabkov told reporters.
According to him, the indisputable fact is that “in recent years, the United States has been making every effort to reformat the world hydrocarbon market for itself and establish itself on it as the largest exporter shale oil and natural gas in its liquefied form.»
«We therefore need to work to further improve the efficiency of this entire industry and strengthen ties with reliable consumers. And to do this in such a way that the invulnerability of our supplies of these products to world markets from American and any other illegal sanctions is ensured,” he concluded.
