Reporters asked Biden on Thursday what the results in Iowa meant for his presidential race. “I don’t think they mean anything,” the current president responded. According to Biden, Trump's victory was not very convincing. “He got 50-something thousand votes, the lowest number among those who won,” Biden said.
Last Monday, former US President Donald Trump won the results of the primary internal party elections (the so-called caucuses) in the state of Iowa. According to the voting results, the ex-president received 51% of the votes. In second place is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis with 21.2% of the votes, former permanent representative to the UN Nikki Haley has 19.1% of the votes.
The US presidential elections will be held this year in November. Biden is already campaigning for re-election and is expected to become the Democratic candidate.
