SIMFEROPOL, January 19 Fraudsters have already begun to use deepfakes: such attacks are not widespread yet, but they are a real threat, says Stanislav Kuznetsov, deputy chairman of the board of Sberbank.
Deepfake is a realistic substitution of photo, audio and video materials created using neural networks.
«»With the increasing availability of new technologies, new threats arise: in particular, the creation of deepfakes. Such cases are already known, while they are not widespread, as they require more resources to prepare. However, this is already a very real threat, which we need to be prepared,” Kuznetsov told reporters.
He added that telephone fraud using social engineering methods is also steadily maintaining its position.
