DOHA, January 19 The US and UK launched two strikes on the city of Hodeidah on the Red Sea coast in western Yemen, Al-Masirah TV channel reported.
“US and British aircraft carried out two strikes on the Al-Jabana area in the city of Hodeidah,” the report says.
The day before, the ruling Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) in northern Yemen, which is supported by Iran, attacked the third American ship in the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea.
Attacks on YemenIn mid-November, the Houthis, as a sign of support for the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, began attacking associated with Israel, ships in the Red Sea, which is why maritime traffic through Suez has sharply decreased.
The United States, in turn, announced the launch of an operation to protect shipping together with ten other countries. Ansar Allah warned that they reserve the right to attack ships of members of this coalition. There have been several clashes at sea between the Houthis and the US military.
