Former Chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK has died Choi Tae Bok, reports the Korean Central News Agency. The North Korean politician held this post longer than anyone else — from 1998 to 2019.
The memory of the deceased on January 21, according to KCNA, was personally honored by the leader of the DPRK Kim Jong-un. A wreath was reportedly laid on his behalf.
The South Korean Yonhap Agency, also reporting on the passing of a prominent North Korean politician, indicates that Choi Tae-bok was 93 years old.
