MOSCOW, January 22Apple has paid an antimonopoly fine in the amount of 1.2 billion rubles, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia reported.

They recalled that the department recognized the American company as a violator for imposing payment for goods and services through the App Store on Russian iOS application developers. in July 2022.
As indicated in the service, as a result of the administrative investigation, the FAS fined Apple in the amount of 1,177,988,700 rubles, and on January 19, 2024, the company paid the fine.
FAS previously reported that Apple provides a commission of 15 to 30 percent from each payment in the App Store. The company demanded that developers remove links to their Internet resources, and also change the application's feature set so that the registration form did not lead to external sites. Otherwise, the company did not allow developers to upload their applications to the App Store.
In January 2023, the FAS announced that it had fined Apple for abuse of a dominant position, imposing a fine of about 1.2 billion rubles.
