In the Yakut city of Tommot, a gas explosion occurred in one of the apartment buildings, as a result of which four people were injured and some apartments were partially destroyed. This was reported by the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The department clarified that two victims were hospitalized at the central regional hospital with burns. According to Shot, both people received third-degree burns — this degree involves necrosis of the superficial or deep layers of the skin.

Photos published by the Ministry of Emergency Situations show that the apartments on the third floor of the four-story building were most damaged. One of the balconies was completely destroyed, the windows on the others were broken. In addition, the building's siding had fallen off. Inside, walls, doorways and furniture were damaged.
“A task force of the Aldan Fire and Rescue Garrison consisting of 41 personnel and 12 pieces of equipment is working at the scene of the incident,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
