MOSCOW, January 24Residents of priority development territories (ADTs) in the Far East will be able to begin enjoying a deferment of benefits in the form of payment of insurance premiums in the summer; the relevant regulatory documents will be adopted in the spring session, said the head of the Ministry of Eastern Development Alexey Chekunkov.
Earlier, during a report to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chekunkov said that the Ministry for the Development of the Far East and Arctic is ready to quickly develop changes to the legislation for residents of priority development areas who would like to postpone the application of benefits on the payment of insurance premiums until the enterprises are fully operational.

“We are preparing the relevant regulatory documents, I think that by the end of the spring session (we will adopt them), that is, by the summer of 2024 there will already be such an opportunity (to apply a deferment),” Chekunkov told reporters after a plenary meeting held as part of the Day of the Far East and Arctic at the international exhibition and forum «Russia» at VDNKh.
According to the information previously announced by the head of the Ministry of Eastern Development, now for companies that started projects before January 1, 2023, the grace period for paying insurance premiums begins from the date the company entered the ASEZ, and the main burden falls on the business after the facility is put into operation, while during the construction phase, this benefit is less useful, since the main personnel have not yet been hired.
