A criminal case was opened against police officers for illegally granting citizenship to family members of the leader of the “Fighting Bumblebees” gang. This was reported by the Mash Telegram channel.
As it became known, the Gafarov family has been living in the Belgorod region since 2011. They moved from Ukraine. In April 2022, they applied for Russian citizenship, indicating the village of Prudkovo, Kaluga Region, as their permanent place of residence. But in fact, the family did not live there.
The police did not check the real address of the family and issued citizenship to all members. Now an inspection is being carried out in the department where the documents were issued. Law enforcement officers who participated in the illegal issuance of citizenship face a fine or arrest of up to three months under the article of negligence.
Earlier it became known that a gang of “bumblebees” had been detained. led by Amil Gafarov. A group of teenagers carried out a series of brutal attacks on local boys. They posted what they had done on a telegram channel. The gang leader was arrested for two months. A criminal case was opened against him under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Inciting hatred or enmity on grounds of nationality.” and 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Attempted murder committed by a group of persons motivated by national hatred.”
