KALININGRAD, January 25 Illegal actions of some countries, disruption of supply chains and Attempts at a transport blockade are making it difficult for enterprises in the Kaliningrad region to operate; the region must be further supported in the current situation, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“The Kaliningrad region is, of course, the westernmost region of Russia, and in this regard has a special geography, and because of this, illegal actions of some countries, disruption of supply chains, attempts at a transport blockade, of course, complicate the work of enterprises,” Putin said .
He noted that this was reflected in key indicators.
“If in Russia as a whole the growth of industrial production amounted to such an impressive figure — 14.6%, then in Kaliningrad industrial production decreased by 7.7% over the 11 months of 2023. Therefore, we must additionally support the development of the region, taking into account these challenges and the existing new ones realities,» Putin said.
All steps to support the Kaliningrad region must be reflected in the region's development program, noted Russian President Vladimir Putin.
