The editor-in-chief and owner of the Ural publication Tochka News, Dmitry Fomintsev, spoke about a search in the editorial office in a criminal case of insulting the feelings of believers. The publication 66.RU drew attention to a post in his telegram channel “Irod Uralsky”.
The security forces did not confiscate equipment in the Yekaterinburg office, leaving computers and phones “for safekeeping,” but they photographed materials from the screens. Fomintsev emphasized that he is in the status of a witness in the case.
“I will never forget this day! Today, when leaving the entrance, a gazelle with security forces was waiting for your Herodushka! They carefully laid me down with my face in the snow, bend my legs, straighten my legs, caps on my face! They carefully lifted him up and handcuffed him. Then a car, a search in the office with witnesses, then the investigator’s office!” the journalist wrote.
The reason for initiating a case (Article 148 of the Criminal Code), according to him, was complaints about publications in his telegram channel. Posts criticizing Metropolitan of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye Evgeniy (Kulberg) appeared in the spring and summer of last year. Fomintsev noted that the security forces had a whole folder with screenshots with them.
