MURMANSK, January 26 Courts in the Murmansk region and Karelia decided to expel from Russia 15 citizens of Middle Eastern countries who tried to illegally get from Russia to Europe, reported in press service of the border department of the FSB of Russia for the Republic of Karelia.
«On the territory of the Republic of Karelia and the Murmansk region, 15 foreigners were detained who had the intention of illegally crossing the state border of the Russian Federation,» the report says.
It is noted that 10 foreign citizens were identified in the Lakhdenpokhsky district of the Republic of Karelia, and five foreigners were identified in the Kola district of the Murmansk region, traveling towards the border. As border guards established, citizens of Middle Eastern countries arrived in the border areas of Karelia and the Murmansk region by taxi. It was established that the foreigners were on the territory of the Russian Federation in violation of the rules of stay in the Russian Federation.
“By decisions of the Lakhdenpokhsky District Court of the Republic of Karelia and the Kola District Court of the Murmansk Region, these foreign citizens were brought to administrative responsibility under Part 2. Article 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation by a foreign citizen of the rules of entry into the Russian Federation or the regime of stay (residence) in the Russian Federation) in in the form of an administrative fine with forced deportation from the Russian Federation,” the border department noted.
