Inter RAO spoke about the export of Russian electricity to China

MOSCOW, January 27 Electricity exports from the Russian Federation to China in 2023 amounted to 3.1 billion kilowatt-hours compared to 4.6 billion kilowatt-hours a year earlier, said a member of the board of Inter RAO «Alexandra Panina.
““China produced 3.1 billion kilowatt-hours, this is, of course, lower than the record year 2022, which was 4.6 billion kilowatt-hours,” she told reporters on the sidelines of the Russia exhibition. at VDNKh.
As a member of the board of Inter RAO noted, electricity supplies to China are currently subject to restrictions. The 550 kilovolt high-voltage power line, which supplied electricity to China, is turned off. The minimum flow along this line should be 70 megawatts, but now, according to Panina, there is no free capacity in this volume.

«Currently we have lines running from Khabarovsk. Throughout January we are running somewhere around 113-115 megawatts,» she said.

At the same time, as Panina noted, much this year will depend on the water regime.
“There will be more water content, maybe we will catch up and surpass these volumes,” concluded a member of the board of Inter RAO.
