MOSCOW, January 26 Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the governments of the Russian Federation and the Sakhalin region to create a marine biological station at Cape Anastasia to study the flora and fauna of the Far Eastern seas, it is reported on the Kremlin website.
«»The Government of the Russian Federation, together with the Government of the Sakhalin Region <…> to ensure the development and implementation of a set of measures for the creation and development of a marine biological station at Cape Anastasia (Crillon Peninsula, Sakhalin Island), providing for the involvement of scientific research in its implementation -an educational program for the study of the flora and fauna of the Far Eastern seas of educational institutions of higher education and scientific organizations of the Far Eastern Federal District, the scientific and educational center of the SakhalinTes campus and foreign scientists,” says the list of instructions.
The deadline for execution of the order is July 31, 2024, then annually. Responsible — Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, Sakhalin Governor Valery Limarenko, Rector of Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy.
