MOSCOW, January 28 Unidentified people painted portraits of Holocaust victims with markers on commemorative exhibition in Leipzig, police in the German state of Saxony said.

"Unknown persons damaged six images at the Holocaust exhibition at Willy Brandt Platz, using green and black markers. The images contained photographic portraits of Holocaust victims,” the department’s report indicated.
The damage was estimated at 1,500 euros, the police began an investigation on suspicion of inciting ethnic hatred and causing property damage.
In addition, similar offenses were also recorded in the area of the city station.
