MOSCOW, January 29 Ninety-one signatures out of 60 thousand, submitted in support of presidential candidate Vladimir Putin, was declared invalid, this is 0.15% of the total, said Natalya Budarina, Secretary of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation.
«As a result of the audit, 91 signatures out of 60 thousand were invalidated; these are inaccuracies in information about voters. Thus, 91 invalid signatures are 0.15% of the number of verified signatures. There are no invalid signatures,» Budarina said on meeting of the Central Election Commission.
According to her data, the number of submitted reliable and valid voter signatures is 314 thousand 909, which is sufficient to register a candidate.
As Viktor Blazheev, an authorized representative of the group supporting Putin's self-nomination in the elections, explained to journalists, 91 signatures were declared invalid due to the fact that “some information did not correspond to reality.”
“This is an insignificant share,” he clarified.
