In Belgorod, a volunteer was arrested in the case of an account with donations from the Armed Forces of Ukraine

BELGOROD, February 2 The Sverdlovsk court of Belgorod arrested volunteer Nadezhda Rossinskaya in the case of collecting donations for the Armed Forces of Ukraine — the girl herself assures that she only helped the RF Armed Forces and civilians and for it ended up on «Peacemaker».
“The court… decided to choose a preventive measure for Rossinskaya Nadezhda Alekseevna in the form of detention for a period of 2 months, that is, until March 31, 2024 inclusive,” announced judge Sergei Schastlivenko, a correspondent reports from the courtroom.

According to the investigation, announced in the courtroom, Rossinskaya was charged with “public calls for activities directed against the security of the Russian Federation” through Instagram, which is banned in Russia*. As the investigator told the court, the public page contained accounts related to raising money for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and, separately, the nationalist association Azov**, banned in Russia. The same account numbers were indicated on Rossinskaya’s personal page about collecting humanitarian aid. In correspondence with her sister, according to the investigator, the girl mentioned the first account.

Judging by the investigation materials, from May 2023 to January 2024, Rossinskaya lived in Georgia and ran the specified Instagram* public, disguising her activities as volunteering.

The 29-year-old accused herself said at the hearing that from the beginning of the SVO — the girl pronounced this very abbreviation several times — she provided humanitarian assistance to both the Russian military and civilians. She does not admit guilt under the incriminated article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
According to her, for helping Russia, her data was posted on the “Peacemaker” website, where Rossinskaya was called “an enemy of Ukraine and a threat to the country’s security.” A search on “Peacemaker” does indeed produce a profile with Rossinskaya, the correspondent was convinced. “I have repeatedly received threats, not only in various messengers on social networks, but also on my personal [bank account]… This was also not an isolated case. I was also really persecuted on the territory of Belgorod, as I understand it, by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. My warehouse with humanitarian aid was fired upon,” the volunteer said in court. She expressed the opinion that she had become a victim of “the enemy’s attempts to discredit Russian volunteers who provide support and assistance to the army.”

Rossinskaya, at least until recently, worked in a non-profit organization that, according to its own statements, helps victims of armed conflicts. Among other things, the NPO allegedly evacuates people and animals from dangerous areas and organizes searches for missing people.
