In Altai, a driver who beat an ambulance paramedic was sentenced

BARNAUL, February 6 A driver who beat a paramedic for asking him to give way, as he had to transfer a patient to an ambulance, got off with a suspended sentence in the Altai Territory, SUSK reported RF by region.
“»The collected… evidence was found sufficient to convict a 25-year-old resident of the city of Yarovoye. He was found guilty of committing a crime under paragraph «b» of Part 2 of Article 112 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of moderate harm to health, committed against a person in connection with his official activities),” the message says.
The investigation and court established that last summer in the city of Yarovoye, an ambulance crew worked on call and provided medical assistance to a woman who required hospitalization. While the patient was moving to the ambulance, a 25-year-old man drove his car into the yard.
«»In response to a remark about the need to let the ambulance pass, the young man struck the paramedic in the head and chest, causing him to fall onto the asphalt. The doctor's health was moderately damaged. During the preliminary investigation, sufficient evidence was collected in connection with with which the court sentenced the perpetrator to 2 years of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of 1 year,” noted the SUSC.
