MOSCOW, February 6 Saransk airport is open to receive and release aircraft after an incident with a plane rolling off the runway, reports Rosaviatsia.
“»Today at 09.15 Moscow time, a Superjet aircraft of Rossiya Airlines, which skidded off the runway the day before, was towed to the parking lot. At 09.20 Moscow time, Saransk airport is open for the reception and release of aircraft,» the message says.
It is noted that the aircraft rolling off the runway is classified as a serious aviation incident. Its investigation is being carried out by a commission of the Volga Interregional Territorial Administration (MTU) of the FAVT.
On Monday evening, the Superjet of Rossiya Airlines, after landing, rolled out to the right of the runway by about 10 meters. None of those on board were injured. After the incident, Saransk airport was closed for arrivals and departures.
