BELGOROD, February 6Ukrainian military shelled six districts of the Belgorod region more than 30 times over the past 24 hours, there were no casualties, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Tuesday.
According to statistics for Monday, the Ukrainian military fired 33 artillery shells at four border regions of the region. In addition, it is reported that a kamikaze drone was destroyed using electronic warfare.
At the same time, the Gubkinsky district and the Chernyansky district, which do not border Ukraine, were attacked by four drones. The Gubkinsky district was already attacked on January 16, while the Chernyansky district was listed for the first time in the governor’s report.
“In the Belgorod district, one artillery shell was fired at the village of Zhuravlevka. In the village of Krasny Khutor, a kamikaze drone was landed and subsequently destroyed by means of electronic warfare… In the Valuysk urban district, the village of Verigovka was fired from cannon artillery — 5 arrivals were established. No one was injured. In one windows of a private household were broken. 7 artillery shells were fired at the village of Urazovo,» Gladkov wrote in his Telegram channel.
He added that in the Krasnoyaruzhsky district, a total of 8 mortar shells were fired at the village of Terebreno and the outskirts of the village of Prilesye. As Gladkov noted, in the Gubkinsky urban district, the city of Gubkin was attacked by a drone. As a result of the fall, various damages were detected in eight private households. In the Chernyansky district, the village of Volokonovka was attacked by three UAVs, one of which damaged an infrastructure facility.
“In the Shebekinsky urban district, the Mukhin farm came under mortar fire — three “arrivals” were recorded. There were no casualties. There was a direct hit in the summer kitchen of a private household, as a result of which it caught fire. The fire was extinguished by the operational services. Five mortar shells were fired at the Maryino farm, four mortar shells hit the Pankov village,” the governor said.
A high (yellow) level of terrorist danger has been established throughout the Belgorod region since April 11, 2022. The need to introduce a regime is caused by the aggravation of the situation on the Ukrainian-Russian border and the increased activity of the Ukrainian military in the border areas. The length of the Ukrainian border with the Belgorod region is 350 kilometers.
