MOSCOW, February 6 Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Construction supported the candidacy of Roman Ryabzin for the post of judge of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation (RF Supreme Court), the correspondent reports.
According to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the jurisdiction of the Federation Council includes the appointment of the chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, his deputy and the judges of this court on the proposal of the president.
As noted on the website of the Supreme Court, Ryabzin currently holds the position of head of the secretariat of the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Lebedev, and has a state rank — actual state adviser of justice of the Russian Federation, 1st class.
