MOSCOW, February 7 Relocant and pseudo-patriots are used for attempts to interfere from abroad in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation, experts said during the presentation of the report of the Center for Political Information “External interference in the 2024 elections in Russia and possible consequences.”
According to the General Director of the Center for Political Information, Alexei Mukhin, the author of the report presented at the international multimedia press center «Russia Today», «the widest range of information tools is being used» to interfere in the Russian elections.

"Moreover, actors who left the territory of the Russian Federation are also used, we call them relocants. They are such a fighting force that will be used in these elections, they are already being used. Both structures and institutions that were created specifically for this (interference in elections — ed.),” said Mukhin.
“The relocants are very different. Some are ideologically oriented relocants, others are relocants that are not ideologically oriented and are not introduced into politics as such, but nevertheless they are the basis for undermining the electoral system of Russia,” said international political scientist Sergei Sudakov at the presentation of the report .
Director of the Institute of Modern States, Associate Professor of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation Aleksey Martynov noted that so-called pseudo-patriotic groups will also be used as the main tools for interfering in elections.
«They will definitely interfere in our elections. They are already interfering… I would draw attention to the fact that as such social groups that enjoy enormous attention from these destructors, these «interferers» from the outside, this is a pseudo-patriotic movement that is actively “It’s growing by leaps and bounds,” he said.
The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17.
