The Pacific Fleet Military Court sentenced Vladivostok resident Artem Sinenko to two years in prison in the case of calls for terrorism (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the press service of the court.
According to the prosecution, at the end of 2022, a man “who disagrees with the domestic and foreign policies of the Russian Federation” published messages in a telegram chat “containing signs of propaganda of ideology and views of a violent seizure of power.”
At the trial, Sinenko admitted his guilt. In addition to imprisonment, he was also banned from using the Internet for two years.
Publishing “Siberia. Realii» writes that the man is 33 years old; before his arrest, he ran a design studio in Vladivostok. Sinenko was detained in the fall of 2023 along with another Vladivostok resident Oleg Kravtsov. The latter admitted to the security forces that he was a “supporter of nationalist ideology” and called on the “Vladivostok Active” telegram channel to “provide financial assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”
In early November, a public page on VKontakte called “Guardians of the Motherland” published a video in which Sinenko admits that “he was an opponent of the North Military District and a pro-Ukrainian citizen,” but now he repents of everything. Following him in the video, Kravtsov says that he supported the “Russian Volunteer Corps” fighting on the side of Ukraine and called in a telegram for the murder of Vladimir Putin. There is no information about Kravtsov’s sentence yet.
